 Kathy James – Owner, Billing Specialist & Trainer
 

Kathy James has spent her career working alongside dentists and dental teams to untangle insurance complexity and strengthen documentation systems that support both reimbursement and patient care. With decades of real-world experience, she understands where breakdowns most often occur—between excellent clinical care and the documentation required to get that care paid, protected, and understood.

Her leadership helps dentists guide their teams with clarity and confidence, creating systems where documentation accurately reflects the quality of care being delivered. Kathy focuses on helping practices move away from reactive insurance workflows and toward intentional, consistent documentation that reduces denials, minimizes risk, and supports long-term practice health.

The outcome of her work goes beyond increased dollars. Practices experience smoother insurance processes, improved patient satisfaction, and greater trust—both internally among team members and externally with patients. When teams understand the why behind documentation, communication improves and frustration decreases across the board.

Kathy is known for her practical, no-nonsense approach. She believes documentation should serve three purposes: support clinical excellence, protect the practice, and create financial stability—without adding unnecessary burden to already busy teams. Her work sits at the intersection of leadership, systems, and accountability, helping dentists close costly gaps before they become bigger problems.

 Cindy R. – Dental Billing Specialist
Cindy has been a valued member of the SDSS team since 2023, bringing a strong leadership background and experience from a chiropractic healthcare office. She enjoys supporting clients and her team, and outside of work, Cindy loves spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren—relaxing at the lake, and riding on the back of her husband Ed's Harley-Davidson on destination rides each year.
